Let's Cite it Right

We're going to practice what we learned last week about citing Internet resources. Remember, we learned that it's okay to "borrow" or use information off of the Internet as long as you say who the information belongs to.  Ideas, words, pictures and music that belong to other people and organizations must be given credit when we use their work.

Instructions:

  1. On a student PC at SPX, navigate to your student folder.
  2. Open up the Citing  Internet Resources Form.
  3. Minimize the document.
  4. Click on the first link below to access the webpage
  5. Review the website to find as many of the five parts to cite the website and
fill in your form. You may work back and forth with Internet Explorer open and MS Word to complete this assignment.
  6. Do this for all five websites.
  7. When you are finished, save changes to your MS Word document to your student folder.
  8. If time permits, explore some of the websites below. The spider website has some cool pictures!

Theodore Roosevelt

Mount Ranier

Brown Recluse

Benedict

NASA for Kids!
