Conclusion

You have just completed a WebQuest preparing you to begin reading  the book, The Breadwinner, by Deborah Ellis.  There is much more to learn about the people of Afghanistan.  But now you have a bit of new knowledge that will help you understand and appreciate this historical fictional account of a family living under the influence of the Taliban.  You know where Afghanistan is located, understand a few new words related to their food and clothing, have listened to the Dari language, have written a few letters in the local alphabet, heard the author tell of her experiences visiting a refugee camp which gave her the ideas to write a book, and have begun thinking about similarities and differences between you and the Afghan culture.
