Special thanks to Judy Soto who gave us permission
to use and edit her awesome Frosty webquest. She's in
Connecticut, we're in Indiana but we're all in the
classroom!
The idea of a KidQuest (instead of a webquest) is Dr.
Alice Christie's. KidQuests are designed
especially for emerging readers and writers.
Even first
graders can learn pre-writing skills. This is a
decent introduction to brainstorming story telling
and including characters, setting and plot.
One of Jeanie's keys to success is the work she
does with students in her classroom BEFORE coming into the
computer lab.
She uses an Averkey with her teacher PC to introduce
the project while the students are not preoccupied
with getting their hands on the computer.
Next she comes to the lab to begin. Many times
students bring their notes or papers to type.
