By the end of "Taking Stock", group members will learn about and/or how to use:

Stock Market/Economics:

• How the stock market works
• Basic economic and business principles
• How political and economic events affect stock choices and prices

Technology Hardware and Software Used:

• Microsoft Excel
• Microsoft Word
• Microsoft PowerPoint
• Microsoft Publisher
• Inspiration
• Internet Explorer
• Quia on-line activities and quizzes
• Personal Computer
• Scanner
• Digital Camera

Language Arts:

• Use correct CUPS (capitalization, usage, punctuation and spelling) on all written correspondence
• Be able to write a business letter
• Be able to diagram (using Inspiration) and then write a persuasive paragraph
• Be able to diagram (using Inspiration) and then write an expository paragraph

And all while participating in a learning experience that is both challenging and enjoyable.
