Directions for Citing Sources for classroom teachers that will be turned into Mrs. Mattson:

  1. 1. Create a document in Word.
  2. 2. Make sure it has the three line header at the top right margin that includes your name, class and date.
  3. 3. Enter the Internet Resources you used correctly formatted.  Click here for more information.
  4. 4. Save the document to your student folder.
  5. 5. Name the document "Internet Resources-(the name of the assignment)"

Important: Sometime when you are referring to the URL in the address bar, the website address appears to remain constant. In other words, no matter how many resources you click on, the URL doesn't change. This is because the webpage you are using for a resource is contained in a frame. To correctly cite the Internet resource that is contained in a frame, you may need to right click on the web page, and click on Properties to get the correct URL (web site address.)
