AAA Math - Need practice with math facts? Want to pass your times tests the first time? Spend some time on this site!

A Math's Dictionary for Kids - This is a WAYYYYY cool website. It's interactive also. 

Utah State Math Manipulatives - WOW! Want to be challenged? Check out the Virtual Library and then start at the kindergarten level. Cool site! 

A Plus Math - Have fun reviewing your math facts with on-line flash cards, bingo and more.

Flashcards for Kids - General Math, Money Math, Time Math

Khan Academy - YouTube is more than just funny videos, this Harvard, MIT graduate utilizes YouTube to teach math concepts from basic arithmetic to Physics and Finance.   There are plenty of referrals for the site -  here's just one, "...Before stumbling across your video's I had no idea how to relate with math problems [math is my extreme weak point] but after watching some of your video's, I can do math without a problem..."

Purplemath - Need help with Algebra? This website is written with the student in mind concentrating on dependable problem solving techniques, pointing out common mistakes and possible "tricky" questions. All lessons are cross referenced for easy "searchability." 

Math Playground - Use these online games to "play around" with Math.  Logic puzzles, math games and videos for K-6 students.

Create-A-Graph - Create a bar, line or area graph or a pie chart on the fly using this website.  It's soooo easy (kinda fun, too!).

Word Central -See how much fun words can be! Includes a super-fast dictionary for kids.

Guide to Grammar and Writing - An interactive website that includes over 400 references to grammar and writing and principles of composition.

Spelling City - An online spelling program that makes practicing for spelling tests easy (and maybe even fun??) Key in your spelling words and the program will test you, teach you and even provide games to play with your spelling words.

Visuwords - Word are more fun when you can play with them and move them around  Visuwords, created by students at Princeton University provides a way to see connections, associations, synonyms, antonyms and parts of speech. Try this free online graphical dictionary. 

Citation Builder - Easily create MLA, APA (and more) citations in correct format. Just fill in the blanks. 

Grammar, Punctuation, and Spelling - OWL (On-line Writing Lab) . . . from our own Purdue University. (Go Boilers!) A terrific site to review and test your grammar, punctuation and spelling.

Big Dog Grammar - Explanations and grammar exercises for students. Fragments, prepositions and more.  Gives you the answers, too!

Common Proofreading Symbols - What are those weird markings on your paper?  Check out this website to see what corrections should be made to your paper.

Book Adventures - Book Adventure is a FREE reading motivation program for children in grades K-8. Children create their own book lists from over 6,000 recommended titles, take multiple choice quizzes on the books they've read offline, and earn points and prizes for their literary successes. Book Adventure was created by the Sylvan Learning Foundation and is a non-profit organization.

Project Gutenberg - This is simply an incredible website. Do you have an iPod or another mp3 player? Check this site out for more than 19,000 free e-books to download to your mp3 player. If you're not sure where to begin, check out the top 100 downloaded books for the day. Many classics are included! 

Grammar Girl Podcast and Website - Rated one of the top five in podcats dowloads, Grammar Girl provides quick and dirty tips for better writing. This is a "must see" AND "must hear" for any student or adult who would like to improve their writing.

Wordle - OK this is nothing but fun! Wordle is a word cloud creator.  Try it or just check out the gallery.

Ben's Guide to Government - Visit Ben's website to find out more about the United States.  Resources and activities are divided by grade level. Excellent social studies page for students!

Newseum - View the front page of over 600 newspapers from over 60 different countries. 

EyeWitness to History - If you couldn't be there, undoubtedly someone else was.  See history through the eyes of someone who lived it. 

50 States - WOW. Learn more about our "nifty-fifty." Famous people, newspapers, state flowers, etc. See it to believe it!

The White House - Visit the home of our president.

Flag Detective - Find out more than you ever thought you could know about flags of the world.  

American Memories from the Library of Congress - An amazing collection of American memories experienced through sound recordings, still and moving images, prints, maps, etc.  that document the history of our United States. This is a digital collection of of our American History and provided free by the Library of Congress!
